As many of your know, The Response: A Call to Prayer for a Nation in Crisis took place this past Saturday in Charleston, SC. The Response is calling the church of Jesus Christ to come together in unity for healing in our nation.
We are deeply grieved at the loss of nine brothers and sisters senselessly murdered last night at a Bible study and prayer meeting at Emanuel AME Church. It’s pastor, Clementa Pinckney, is the only name released of the deceased at this writing.
God’s Word speaks, Psalm 9:12, “For He who avenges murder cares for the helpless. He does not ignore the cries of those who suffer.”
We want to extend our heartfelt sympathy to the families of the deceased. We are praying for their families in their time of grief.
