Jeff Bezos [born 1964] received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University in 1986. He is often described as a visionary because of his ability to anticipate future trends, disrupt industries, and build infrastructure for barely imaginable technologies on launching them. Bezos founded Amazon in 1994 and Blue Origin in 2000.
Blue Origin is a private aerospace manufacturer and suborbital spaceflight services company that envisions making space travel routine and building human settlements in space. According to Forbes, Bezos’ estimated net worth stood at $209.5 billion as of March 12, 2025. Last week, Bezos launched his fiancée Lauren Sánchez into space, along with Katy Perry, Oprah’s best friend Gayle King, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianne Flynn.
Suzy Weiss reported on the 11-minute flight in The Free Press, “They cried. They wore very tight pants. They howled at the moon. In other words, it was a cosmic bachelorette party. The concept was to look good, have a great time, and do a lot of screaming. And honestly? Mission accomplished.”1

In their pre-op for space travel, Sánchez collaborated with the luxury fashion brand Monse to help create suits for “female empowerment in space exploration.” Each crew member underwent a 3D body scan to ensure a perfect fit, blending elegance with functionality. The collaboration with Monse marked a significant press extravaganza for Sánchez, a new era of space-wear explicitly designed for women and space history … yada, yada, yada.2 The all-female crew, hand-selected by Sánchez, was designed to elevate “a diverse and inspirational team of women,” highlight “female empowerment and representation in space exploration,” and promote civilian space travel. “I wanted to assemble a crew of women,”raved Ms. Sánchez, “change-makers, pioneers, and role models.” As for role models, a brief review of each of the ladies’ biographies will demonstrate that they, like all of us, have challenges in life. Born in 1969, Lauren Sánchez is a former news anchor and media personality. Out of her relationship with former National Football League tight end Tony Gonzalez, her first son was born in February 2001. In 2005, she married Patrick Whitesell; their son was born in 2006, and their daughter in 2008. In 2018, she had an affair with Jeff Bezos, while each was still married to someone else. Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie Scott, divorced in January 2019 after 25 years of marriage; some 9 months later Sánchez and Whitesell also dissolved their marriage. The astronomical divorce rate [of 40-50%] in America is but the by-product of an increasingly secular era imposed on the nation throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. To put some telling numbers to this: the divorce rate in Colonial America in the 17th century was 0.1%, in the 18th century 0.5%, and in the late 19th century 1%. Marriage stability became increasingly wobbly in the mid-1960s as the U.S. Supreme Court established human secularism as the State’s Official Religion. The Wall Street Journal noted in the 1963 Abington School District v. Schempp case that atheism was now “the one belief to which the state’s power will extend its protection.” Lone dissenting Justice Potter Stewart [1915-1985] in the 8-1 decision lambasted that the decision “led not to true neutrality with respect to religion, but to the establishment of a religion of secularism.” Fast forward 50 years, when we begin to see that the 8-1 SCOTUS decision has led indirectly to public schools teaching 13 and 14-year-old girls that “Oral sex, anal sex, sexual fantasy, masturbation, touching each other’s genitals, and vaginal intercourse all equal to saying, ‘I like you’.” This threatens the stability of the home – the basic order of society – and, more importantly, eliminates the reinforcement of sustainable freedom. www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2183613705199157 There is no such thing as neutrality in religion, for denying God’s existence is every bit as much of a religious belief as believing in Jehovah God. Including the Bible in public education curriculum – as America’s Founders stipulated – was likewise in all respects no less of a spiritual decision as was the radically secular Warren Court’s [1953-1969] prohibition of prayer and the Bible in public schools in the mid-20th century. As William McKane put it: Nothing is so reasonable as to believe that Scripture is the Word of Him who cannot lie. Joy Pullman notes that once one accepts the dangerous fiction that law and public institutions can be neutral on religious questions – as they have been for a century now -secular atheism becomes by default the dominant religion of the nation’s public life. At the same time, secularists keep up their massive deception by pretending that nothing of the kind is happening. As for the battle being waged in the public square of America, Charles Spurgeon [1834-1892], England’s Prince of Preachers, reflected, “The world knows not its nobility, it has no eye for true excellence: [if] it found a cross for the Master, [it] cannot be expected to award crowns to his disciples.” American Christendom seems to have arrived at its kairos. Instead of maintaining the defeatist theology of the last century of giving up on Biblically based involvement in the culture and letting it go to hell, we have accepted A.W. Pink’s assessment in his Gleanings From Joshua. “It would indeed be strange if we apprehended how that on the one hand Canaan was a free gift unto Israel, which they entered by grace alone; and on the other that they had to fight for every inch of it!” Spurgeon appraised that Canaan was not conquered without the armies of Israel, but equally true, it was also not conquered by them: “the Lord was the conqueror, and the people were but instruments in His hands.” Thankfully, a Scriptural task force of Gideons and Rahabs has entered the public square of America.
