Mission
Our mission is to inspire the American church (ekklesia) to embrace its role in the public square, breathing life into the highest expression of community and civic duty.
Vision
Every church in America having a pastor, elder, deacon, or congregant running for, or serving in, a local, state or national elected office in 2026, 2028, 2030 and beyond. Church members are motivated, en masse to turn out and vote for members of their congregations, the result is not only positive change at the local level, but also incredible positive change up ballot; all the way to the top! This kind of grassroots mobilization amplifies voices that may otherwise go unheard (because of inaction) and brings about positive results in America’s governance and policy.
We all know that politicians are not going to save America, Wall Street is not going to save America, even our military strength will not save America. If America is to be saved, Biblical values must be returned and embraced in the public square; and there is now arising a spiritual refreshing across America. A spiritual resurrection in fact, that will brightly emanate from America’s churches; directly engaging the culture, restoring identity, direction and morality in our nation.
The American Renewal Project was founded in 2006 to give greater currency to the principles laid down by the American Founders. The Project’s focus is to minister to people of faith in their transition from spectators to participants in the cultural arena, with emphasis being placed on religion and morality, the cornerstones of political freedom in the United States. The Bible has been removed from public education. For the last three generations this has resulted in ignorance regarding America’s Biblical founding among the general public.
American Christendom has played defense for so long that Christians don’t know any more what offense looks like. Playing offense will take time as cultural transformation requires knowledge, experience, expertise, and wisdom coupled with engagement.
To make the equivalent of what secularism has done to public education over the last 100 years or so, let’s suppose that teachers over the next decade secretly begin baptizing kids at school and hiding it from parents – what would be the Left’s reaction?
The Founders “did not retreat from involvement in society and politics. They did not turn civil government, the making, enforcement, and adjudication of laws, over to Satan and those who serve him. They did not surrender the ministry of civil government to those who are in rebellion against God.” Naysayers doubtful of the spiritual resurrection of America need to know that in partnership with The American Renewal Project Gideons and Rahabs are beginning to stand as over 100,000 pastors have now attended Renewal Project events.
“For me personally, I greatly appreciated the bridge that was created between politicians and pastors. Hearing spiritually and politically minded speakers discuss the need for the Gospel and Christian involvement in government was encouraging and challenging. As a millennial, I was thankful to hear an emphasis on God alone being sufficient for America, rather than a demigod politician.”
