“Usurping power is the anarchist’s aim, in order to control resources and to seize ideological supremacy.”

We may start to wonder about the role of public education. Is it to demand of children, who are trying to master their ABCs, that they now also study “the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the country’s history?” The waning influence of Christians in the public square is shocking.

Illinois lawmakers advance bill requiring schools to teach LGBT history.

Elevating homosexual Americans, as pagan Secularism strives to do, to the same plane as African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans adds insult to injury. The legislation attacks Black, Latino, and Asian heritages and places sexual behavior on the same footing as race.

Secularism has bankrupted America; the trouble with man lies within.

Current American culture portrays Jesus Christ as a social reformer, a prophet, and/or teacher of ethics. There’s not a single word about sin. Still, “He who sits in the heavens laughs.” [1]

Or as Thomas Adams put it: “He permitted his temple to be sacked and rifled, the holy vessels to be profaned and caroused in; but did not God’s smile make Belshazzar to tremble at the handwriting on the wall? Oh, what are his frowns, if his smiles be so terrible!” [2]

Throughout his writings Saint Paul explains that we are all created in the image of God. He also paints a vivid picture of those who behave in a way that does not honor God. “Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people – none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. And such were some of you…” [1 Corinthians 6:9-11]I was pleasantly surprised at the level of professionalism and hands-on resolution that I received!

With that as background let’s get right at it: America is in the midst of a cultural civil war. Considering that secularists control the microphone – i.e. media and cultural levers of influence – they bamboozle society by presenting a one-sided view. Senator Ted Cruz exposed Facebook’s political bias during Zuckerberg’s testimony before the Senate last week:

“It has been evident that Facebook has actively censored or suppressed conservative speech.

“In May 2016, Gizmodo reported that Facebook had purposely and routinely suppressed conservative stories from trending news, including stories about the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Mitt Romney and Obama administration scandals.

“Facebook’s actions have ranged from … shutting down ‘Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day’ to blocking posts from journalists, specific religious groups and most recently, grassroots Trump supporters Diamond and Silk [as ‘unsafe to the community’].

“It is virtually unheard of [seeing] liberal groups like Planned Parenthood, Moveon.org, or Democratic candidates being targeted for removal.” [Fox News]

What’s going on in America is that public education, academia, newsrooms, sports, the Courts, Fortune 500, Hollywood, and medicine – ALL are operating on a scale of bias that would make Pravda and Izvestia proud:

“When a land is in rebellion, it has many rulers, but with a discerning and knowledgeable person, it endures.” [3]

George Soros is stoking rebellion in America’s streets through Black Lives Matter, Antifa, March for Our Lives, and Women’s March in Washington. Usurping power is the anarchist’s aim, in order to control resources and to seize ideological supremacy.

Since the crux of the fight in America is spiritual, those who exhibit a close relationship with God, a thorough understanding of His word, must be elevated to speak for Him in the public square. Saving America is a spiritual task. Pastors must therefore become proficient and skilled in the currency of politics. Sunday sermons don’t qualify as denominations of political currency, whereas mustering and marshaling parishioners to the polls do.

Senator James Lankford (OK) wondered whether God “cares about government,” to answer his own question thus: “Consider that all of the Old Testament books (with the exception of two, I’ll let you think about which two) were written by a political leader, to a political leader, or about a political leader. And what was Saul’s calling? God said, ‘He is my chosen instrument to the Jews, the Gentiles, and the Gentile kings.’ God was very specific. He was going to redo government through Saul.”

Praise be to God that He is calling Gideons and Rahabs to the public square. “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” [4]
