Teenagers who smoke cannabis damage their brains for LIFE and may be more likely to develop schizophrenia

Teenagers who regularly smoke cannabis suffer long lasting brain damage and are in much greater danger of developing schizophrenia. American researchers say the drug is particularly dangerous for a group of people who have a genetic susceptibility to the mental health disorder – and it could be the trigger for it. Asaf Keller, of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, said the results highlight the dangers of teenagers smoking cannabis during their formative years. The study, published in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology, exposed young mice to the active ingredient in marijuana for 20 days. It found that their brain activity was impaired, with...

Air Force: Colonel had religious right to refuse signing same-sex spouse appreciation letter

The Air Force has affirmed the religious rights of a colonel who claimed he was wrongly disciplined for refusing to sign a certificate of appreciation for the same-sex spouse of one of his airmen last year. Then on Facebook, Booker implied that people with biblical views, like Pompeo, are responsible for depression and social problems among homosexuals. “At a time when suicide rates for gay youth are painfully high; at a time when gay youth make...

It is the best-selling book of all time, and the Holy Bible has also been called the greatest book of all time. However, the editors at GQ disagree. The men’s magazine ranks The Bible as #12 on their list of so-called “great books” that “haven’t aged well.” In an article titled “21 Books You Don’t Have to Read and 21 You Should Read Instead” the editors say, “The Holy Bible is rated very highly by all the people who supposedly live by it but who in actuality have not read it.” “Those who have read it know there are some good parts,...
